We are currently preparing for our third season in Chincoteague and look forward to some great fishing again this year.
Last year boasted some fantastic fishing for several species and not so great for other. Mako fishing in late June and Early July was excellent. The Mahi-Mahi fishing was also great throughout July and August. The September White Marlin fishing was the best avar seen in the Mid-Atlantic. The Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna fishing was a little slower last year as compared to the year before. The few Wahoo that were around were large but far and few between. Hopefully the Tuna and Wahoo with show up in larger numbers again this year.
Unfortunately the increased cost in diesel fuel of this winter has forced us to raise our rate an additional $100 to offset some of the increased opperating costs. If fuel proces should drop by the time summer gets here, I gladly pass the savings on with reduced rates. Given the continued poor economy, my booking activity has been a little slow this spring so I still have plenty of prime dates available from June through September.
